Aims and Scope

The Open Plant Science Journal is an open access online journal which publishes research articles, reviews, letters and guest edited thematic issues on all disciplines of plant science including plant biology, pathology, physiology, anatomy, morphology, breeding and genetics. The journal also welcomes contributions on horticultural crops including vegetables, fruits, ornamental & herbal plants and protected cultivation both in post and pre-harvest stages. Unauthentic or confirmatory researches are not accepted.

The Open Plant Science Journal, a peer-reviewed journal, is an important and reliable source of current information on developments in the field. The emphasis will be on publishing quality papers rapidly and freely available to researchers worldwide.

Brief Biography

Dr. Francesco Paolocci is a Senior Researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR), Institute of Biosciences and Bioresources (IBBR), Division of Perugia. Since his graduation in 1989, the vast majority of Francesco’s research activity has involved CNR. Dr. Paolocci’s interests and activities span from fungal genetics and genomics to plant genomics and biotechnology. His current main interests include the identification and functional characterization of structural and regulatory genes of secondary metabolites in legumes, with specific emphasis on forage legumes. He has published more than 60 papers in indexed international journals and books, and his research activity has been bestowed with national and international prizes.
